Due to the individual designs of attractions, some attractions may require written documentation from the limb manufacturer ensuring that the limb can withstand forces up to 5 Gs and not come off during the ride cycle in order to ride with prosthetic devices. Hersheypark offers Accessibility Assistance information for our guests to enjoy their visit. Upon arrival at Hersheypark, guests should visit Accessibility Services outside the Front Gate to request more information about Hersheypark Accessibility programs. Our team members will assist guests by providing Park-wide information and explaining more about the Attraction Accessibility Program. The Accessibility Services agents can help define ride safety and ridership requirements in addition to discussing any and all accommodations for our guests. Guests are welcome to utilize their own wheelchairs, but we ask that all guests enroll in our Ride Accessibility Program to utilize the accessible entrances at our attractions. Hersheypark® is cashless and accepts all major credit cards, debit cards and Hersheypark gift cards, as well as Apple Pay, Samsung Pay and Google Pay. For guests who may not have credit or debit cards, they can convert cash to prepaid debit cards at the Cash-to-Card kiosks stationed around the park. There is no fee to load cash onto a card at these kiosks. Please check the app for locations. For games, you will need to purchase a separate Gaming Card at gaming locations, which you can load via cashless payment. *Vanilla VISA gift cards are not accepted at Hersheypark at this time due to issues with the Vanilla Gift Card platform. In place of cash, consider purchasing an e-gift card before your Park visit. Hershey Entertainment and Resorts (HE&R) gift cards can be used IN PERSON ONLY and cannot be used for ONLINE purchases.
No, there are no fees to convert cash to a prepaid card at a Cash-to-Card kiosk inside Hersheypark. There are also no fees to use the prepaid card inside or outside of Hersheypark. *After 92 consecutive days of no transaction activity, a $3.95 fee will be charged each month.
A guest will insert cash into a Cash-to-Card kiosk. It will dispense a plastic prepaid Visa Debit Card that can be used within Hersheypark. Up to $500 can be loaded onto a single card and cards cannot be reloaded or refunded. Cards can be used anywhere Visa is accepted.
No. Admission to these attractions is only permitted with Hershey's Chocolate World tickets.
The first three hours of parking at Hershey Chocolate World are always free. All-day parking is $60 except for guests who purchase Chocolate World attraction Adventure Bundles. Chocolate World's parking fee is only in effect when Hersheypark is open. Pre-paid Hersheypark parking passes are not valid at Chocolate World
Yes, Hersheypark Season Pass Holders receive a 15% discount on all chocolate, retail, food and photo purchases year-round by showing a valid season pass. Please note this discount does not apply to attraction tickets.

A Hersheypark Halloween ticket or 2025 Season Pass is required for entry into Hersheypark Halloween. Dark Nights is included in all Hersheypark tickets valid through Jan 4, 2026, and 2025 Season Passes.

No, Dark Nights is included with a 2025 Hersheypark Halloween admission ticket and current 2025 Hersheypark Season Passes. You can purchase other add-ons like Fast Track and new food options online in advance.
Flash photography or lights of any kind are not permitted in the Haunted Houses for the enjoyment of all guests. For the privacy of all guests, live streaming is prohibited throughout Hersheypark and Dark Nights. Working crews and those using cameras with detachable lenses are not permitted without a Hersheypark Communications escort coordinated in advance. Filming and photographing on rides is strictly prohibited unless approved by a Hersheypark Communications team member. This includes the use of drones, GoPros, and sunglasses-based cameras. Media invited to preview Dark Nights may not film the in-house experience but will be directed to camera-approved areas for reaction or scare zone opportunities. B-roll and approved images will be provided upon request from the Hersheypark Communications team. If you would like to submit a request to the Hersheypark Communications team, you may do so by filling out the form on the media and influencers request page.
We will continue to offer kid-friendly experiences like more Hershey Character Glow Dance Parties, Creatures Of The Night at ZooAmerica, Treatville trick-or-treat trail (available for guests 12 and under to enjoy until 8 PM each operating day) and seasonal rides, in addition to these new experiences that begin at 6 PM.
Fast Track is an additional purchase to your general admission ticket but the HPGO program is free. Ride stats, photos, the HPGO account in the Hersheypark app and the HPGO wristband are all free.
Guests of The Official Resorts of Hersheypark to enjoy 1-hour early access during the summer public operating season. They can also take advantage of our Preview Plan hours and enjoy Hersheypark for free extra hours the night before their full-day visit. Your Hersheypark admission ticket will be scanned for preview.
Hersheypark offers 3 tram stops in the parking lot that take guests to and from the Main Entrance. Trams will run all operating days during Spring Weekends, Summer and Hersheypark Halloween™. During Christmas Candylane, trams will operate on weekends and daily between Christmas Day and New Years Day. Shuttles coming from The Hotel Hershey®, Hershey Lodgeâ„ , and Hersheypark Camping Resort® drop off and pick up at the exclusive resort drop-off location on a continuous loop during operating days. Tram service may be interrupted or not available due to weather.
The 2025 Season Pass Program includes four tiers with perks to fit every family’s needs. Guests can choose from Giant Size, King Size, Full Size, Bite Size and a free Pre-K Pass as an extra perk for a child in a family with a Full, King or Giant Size Pass. 2025 Season Passes include unlimited visits throughout 2025, great discounts, exclusive events and sweet perks based on Pass type. 2025 Full Size and King Size Season Pass Holders receive one free Pre-K Pass, and 2025 Giant Size Season Pass Holders receive two free Pre-K Passes as part of their perks. The free Pre-K Pass is available for a child who is under five years old and born after July 1, 2020. The qualifying child will receive unlimited visits to Hersheypark and ZooAmerica (when entering from the bridge inside Hersheypark) during the 2025 public operating season, plus 1-hour early Sweet Start access during the summer season. Pre-K Passes must be redeemed by July 1, 2025.

Yes, Season Passes are currently available for purchase on a payment plan. Guests must simply select their Payment Plan at checkout, and after an initial down payment, the monthly payment will be automatically deducted each month.

Season Pass Holders can renew and upgrade their pass tier for the 2025 season. Guests who upgrade to a different tier will receive their new tier perks starting in January 2025.
No, you do not need a new Pass ID if you renew with your existing Season Pass. You can use the same Season Pass ID card. We recommend the current color photo pass and use of the digital pass in the app.

Sweet Start Attractions availability is subject to change. Guests utilizing discounted tickets purchased through the Self-Service Account, Bring-A-Friend tickets or the Pre-K Pass can enter for Sweet Start as long as the Full Size, King Size or Giant Size Season Pass Holder is present. Bite Size Season Pass Holders and all other ticket types are not eligible to join a Full Size, King Size or Giant Size Season Pass Holder for Sweet Start. No exceptions.

If you wish to leave and re-enter the Park on the same day, please be sure to get your hand stamped upon exiting the Park. To re-enter the parking lot on the same day, please show your parking ticket upon your return.
A special area is available in First Aid for nursing mothers with seating and outlets. Bring your own stroller or rent one of ours. Strollers are available inside the entrance on a first-come-first-serve basis. Rental prices: Single - $20; Double - $25, Wagon - $30. Quiet locations are available in First Aid, located in Pioneer Frontier Family Health & Services, and the Accessibility Services location in Kissing Tower Hill. Stroller Rental sonsored by GIANT. For the safety of guests and pets alike, pets are not permitted within Hersheypark, and please do not leave pets in your car. Service animals are allowed inside Hersheypark.
Yes! Hersheypark has free WiFi park-wide! Just remember you should not take mobile devices on rides such as roller coasters.
Wheelchair and Electric Convenience Vehicles (ECV) for ADULTS (must be 18 years of age or older to rent an ECV) may be rented in Chocolatetown adjacent to the Ticketing Services Building. Wheelchairs and ECVs have a weight limitation of 500 pounds and are available on a first-come-first-serve basis. Quantities are limited. A valid driver's license will be held as a deposit. The person operating the ECV must be present as training is required for the rental process. Hersheypark reserves the right to refuse any guest rental of an ECV if that guest is unable to complete the on-site training or unable to comply with the restrictions of the unit. Each unit is designated as a single person unit. Failure to comply with the Rental Agreement is cause for surrender of the rental equipment or dismissal from the Park. ECV rental price: $70.00. Manual wheelchair rental price: $35.00
Lockers are available on a first-come-first-serve basis and located inside the Park entrance, in Hershey's Chocolatetown, and at several locations in The Boardwalk. Lockers are rented by the day. Credit cards accepted. Neither employees, Guest Relations, or Security are permitted to hold customer items for temporary storage. Complimentary Ride Lockers are available at Candymonium, Reese's Cupfusion, Wildcat's Revenge, Skyrush and sooperdooperLooper, to help keep our guests and their belongings safe. Place your items inside the lockers, located at or near the entrance to these attractions, and enjoy your ride! Please be advised, no personal belongings are permitted on these rides. Fees do apply for late retrievals.
At Hersheypark, we strive to accommodate all of our guests. As part of our Clean Air Commitment, smoking is restricted to designated areas only. These designated smoking areas are conveniently located throughout the Park. This policy includes all forms of e-cigarettes and other products that produce a vapor or smoke. The Boardwalk At Hersheypark, ZooAmerica, and all Hersheypark buildings and structures are completely smoke-free. This policy is meant to preserve the safety and health of all guests while creating a welcoming environment for each visitor to Hersheypark. Your cooperation is appreciated.
For your safety and health, all Park visitors are required to wear shoes and shirts at all times. As a courtesy to others, modest dress is expected of all guests, and revealing or offensive clothes are not considered appropriate. Bikini tops, bikini bottoms, Speedo bikinis, thongs, and brief halter tops are not considered appropriate attire while in the Park. Some language, gestures, and suggestive art on apparel may also be considered inappropriate. Hersheypark reserves the right to address these issues with all guests. While in The Boardwalk area, only appropriate swimwear is permitted on the attractions. Revealing bathing suits; shorts with rivets, snaps, zippers, and metal ornamentation; cutoffs; and jeans are not permitted. All eyeglasses must be secured with safety straps, and aqua shoes are not permitted on the body slides. Parents accompanying toddlers in the children's play area must also wear bathing suits. While in any of our water zone areas (including The Boardwalk and Tidal Force), swimsuits may be worn, but after completion of these rides, we ask that you change to more appropriate attire (i.e. shorts, shirt) prior to leaving this area.

Due to ride restrictions, not all of our guests will be able to ride all rides. Yes, there are signs posted at each ride indicating the restrictions for that ride. In most cases, your own discretion is suitable for whether or not you wish to ride a certain ride. *Casts are not permitted on Candymonium, Comet, Great Bear, Hershey Triple Tower, Skyrush, sooperdooperLooper, and Wildcat's Revenge.
Some rides may appear tame from the midway, but are actually quite thrilling. Every ride is grouped into one of five categories: CHILDREN'S RIDES This is a low-speed, gentle ride intended for young children and may accommodate chaperones where permitted. MILD THRILL RIDES This is a low to medium speed ride with expected changes in elevation and speed. This ride may require some rider body control and is not intended for unaccompanied toddlers or very young children. MODERATE THRILL RIDES This is a medium speed ride where riders may experience unexpected changes in elevation and speed. This ride may contain moderate twists, turns, bumps, spins, and loops, and may require some rider body control. HIGH THRILL RIDES This is a fast-paced ride experience with unexpected changes in speed, direction, and/or elevation. This ride may contain significant twists, turns, bumps, spins, and loops, and requires rider full body control. AGGRESSIVE THRILL RIDES This is a high-speed experience. Riders will experience many unexpected, rapid changes in speed, direction, and/or elevation and requires rider full body control. This ride is not recommended for guests with physical, cognitive, and/or medical limitations.
We have more than 20 fun and exciting kiddie rides. Our kiddie rides are located throughout the park to create a more inclusive experience.
If you and your partner would like to ride height-restricted rides but your child is not tall enough to ride, let the attendant know that you would like to take advantage of the Kiddie Swap program. One parent may ride while the other stays with the child. At the conclusion of the initial ride, the parents may "swap" places. Similarly, if one parent has two children who meet the height restriction but must be accompanied by a responsible rider or who wish not to ride alone, the parent may ride with one child while the other child waits in an appropriate area of the ride. At the conclusion of the initial ride, the parent may remain on the ride while the children "swap" places.
Congratulations! The following rides and attractions are safe for you to enjoy: Bayside Pier (except for the slide features), East Coast Waterworks (except for the slide features), Carrousel Chariots, Kissing Tower, Dry Gulch Railroad, and Capital BlueCross Monorail.
For safety reasons, loose articles and hand-held items are not permitted on most of our attractions. These items include, but are not limited to, cell phones, selfie sticks/Go-Pros, keys, cameras, bags/purses, wallets, backpacks, stuffed animals, prizes, umbrellas, beverage containers, food, drinks, and other small items. The loose articles policy for each attraction can be found under the “Additional Restrictions/Accessibility” link located on the information pages for each attraction on Hersheypark’s website, in the Rider Safety & Accessibility Guide, and on the Height Signs located at each attraction. Except as otherwise noted for a specific attraction, only items that can be secured in cargo pockets, a waist pack, or a zipping jacket pocket are permitted provided they do not interfere with the restraint system, proper riding position, or cause a hazard to guests, employees, and/or the attraction. A cargo pocket must fasten with a velcro or button flap or a zipper. A waist pack must fasten around the waist and have a zipper closure. Additionally, eyeglasses, sunglasses, and long hair, clothing, or accessories must be secured. Loose articles that cannot be secured must be placed in a bag drop area or bin, secured in a locker, or kept with a non-rider. Hersheypark and its employees are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items, which include items that fall out of pockets or items left in bag drop/bin areas and do not assume responsibility for the loss of, or damage to, such items, or injuries that result from the failure of guests to comply with Hersheypark’s loose articles policies.

Parking is $26 when purchased online before your visit. Guests can purchase parking at the parking booths for $35. Cash, credit, debit and gift cards are accepted. Parking is charged for each day of a visit per vehicle. Parking is NOT valid at the Hershey’s Chocolate World lot. Please follow signage when entering the complex and stay right toward the Hersheypark booths and lots coming from Hersheypark Drive. Please note additional fees do apply if parking at the Hershey’s Chocolate World lot and Hersheypark guests are not to park there.
The Hersheypark parking lot can be accessed by veering right on Park Boulevard after the intersection of Hersheypark Drive and Route 39. Please follow all signs to the Hersheypark Parking Plaza and parking booths. *Guests visiting Hershey’s Chocolate World should park in the Chocolate World parking lot. Hersheypark parking is NOT valid in their lot.
Hersheypark features an entire water park, featuring 16 unique water attractions in The Boardwalk At Hersheypark. The Boardwalk is open Memorial Day through Labor Day. View Water Park Rides.
At Hersheypark, your safety and security are our top priority! The Pennsylvania Department of Health has instituted a maximum number of allowed guests in each of our aquatic attractions. Consistent with all of our other rides and attractions, all water attractions within The Boardwalk utilize a line queuing system. In order to ensure safety and a consistent experience for all guests, riders enter and exit attractions via designated points. As guests exit the attraction, additional guests will be permitted to enter. Due to capacity and safety standards, timed swim sessions may be initiated to ensure that each guest may safely enjoy time in this attraction. Rude and deliberate line jumping that inconveniences other guests may result in dismissal from Hersheypark without compensation.

While we typically do not allow outside food and drinks into Hersheypark, we do allow accommodations for guests who have allergies or dietary restrictions/needs to bring small amounts of food into Hersheypark with them. Please be aware that we do not allow hard-sided coolers or glass of any kind into Hersheypark. You can find common allergen information on our website and can search food stands by Dairy Free, Nut Free, and Gluten Free under our Filters. Additionally, if you click on a food location on that webpage, you can see a list of what that location offers. If you click on an item, it will list out the common allergens as well as the ingredients.
Hersheypark is committed to helping our guests with food allergies make the best possible dining choice during their visit. Park guests with food allergies can visit Overlook Food Court which offers allergen, vegan and gluten friendly options including wraps, salads, pizzas, chicken tenders, and vegan and gluten friendly snacks. For additional allergy-friendly options, Flying Fare, located in Pioneer Frontier, is a gluten and nut-friendly stand with made-to-order menu items that can be customized to fit your needs. Additionally, each restaurant is listed on our website and mobile App with menu items, ingredients and allergen information. While in the Park, our food and beverage staff can supply ingredient files at each location to answer any questions you may have. Epi-Pens are permitted at Hersheypark, and our First Aid has Registered Nurses on site at all times. Our staff is trained to handle our allergen friendly food options with the utmost care. When an order is placed for a specialty item, our staff will wash their hands, put on new gloves, and use all new utensils designated specifically for our specialty items.
All of our concessions locations use vinyl gloves. No latex gloves are used.
Yes. EpiPens are permitted. Hersheypark also has First Aid and Registered Nurses on site at all times.
All of our locations fry in a zero trans fat vegetable oil except Chick-fil-A, which use peanut oil. Our dessert locations serve items that contain nuts or are prepared using shared facilities and equipment with items containing nuts.

Evolv uses state of the art sensors and imaging technology to identify items that are not permitted inside our venue. Evolv technology does not employ metal detection systems and provides a frictionless experience for our guests as they enter.
The Evolv unit is an artificial intelligence driven system using safe, ultra-low frequency, electromagnetic fields and advanced sensors to detect potential public safety concerns or items that violate Hersheypark policies.
Evolv is the new standard in guest screening using advanced sensors and artificial intelligence. The Evolv units screen everyone who enters through the gates of Hersheypark without the need to hand over their belongings or even slow their pace. It is efficient and frictionless.
A secondary screening of a guest and/or their personal belongings will only be needed should the Evolv unit alert our security team.
Evolv technology does not employ metal detection systems. However, if a guest feels uncomfortable walking through the Evolv unit, Security staff can provide alternative accommodations for screening.
If you have a concern prior to entering Hersheypark, please advise the Security staff before passing through the Evolv unit. A Security Supervisor will assist you with your concerns.
You are welcome to film your experience while walking through the Park. Please note, however, that Hersheypark will not allow your GoPro to be used while riding a ride. It is considered a loose article and can cause harm to yourself or other passengers (even if you have it strapped or harnessed to yourself). Our Park policy also states that we do not allow video taping on any of the attractions.
We suggest that at the beginning of your visit, you select a place within the Park to be the meeting place if your group becomes separated. You may also want to ensure that cell phone numbers are exchanged. If you do become separated, please contact the nearest Security Officer for assistance. Lost children may be found in the Lost Children's Corral, sponsored by Penn State Health, located in the Family Health & Services Center, sponsored by United Concordia Dental, and the Lost Children's Cove, sponsored by Penn State Health, located in The Boardwalk area next to Bayside Pier. In the event your child is lost, notify the nearest Security Officer. Family Finder Program, sponsored by Penn State Health. Take advantage of this program by visiting Stroller Rental or any of the Lost Children's Areas inside Hersheypark for a complimentary wristband for your child to wear while in the Park. Should you become separated, this wristband, with your cell phone number on it, will help reunite you. The Family Finder Program is sponsored by Penn State Children's Hospital.
Lost and Found is located inside Hershey's Chocolatetown region near the Main Gate of Hersheypark®. Lost and Found is open during Park operating hours and is staffed by security. Ride operators and attendants are not responsible for articles left by patrons at the ride stations. Neither Hersheypark nor its employees assume responsibility for the loss of, or damage to, personal property. Locker storage is available throughout the Park. First Aid Stations are located in Hershey's Chocolatetown, Family Health and Services Center presented by United Concordia Dental in Pioneer Frontier area next to Play Dome Arcade and in The Boardwalk. A registered nurse is on duty at all times. If immediate first aid is needed, ask any Park employee for assistance. A special area is also available in First Aid for nursing mothers.
To ensure the safety and enjoyment of all our guests, the Hershey Entertainment Complex strictly prohibits the operation of or use of any unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), commonly known as "Drones," on, from, or above the Hershey Entertainment Complex premises without specific written permission from an official of Hershey Entertainment & Resorts. This includes all UAVs regardless of size, weight, or purpose.
For your safety, ALL hand-carried items, including backpacks and belt bags, are subject to search. Metal detection equipment may be used. Weapons of any type, laser pointers, radios and/or sound emitting electronic devices, and skate shoes (Heely's) are not permitted. Illegal substances and outside alcoholic beverages are strictly prohibited. Locker storage is available at the outside picnic areas and guests are encouraged to keep non-essential items in their vehicles. Other than one sealed water bottle per person, Hersheypark does not permit food or drink to be brought into the Park. Guests with special dietary needs can review our food and beverage information. The Outpost restaurant features allergen friendly food.
While our goal is to have all attractions available during scheduled operating hours, weather conditions like rain, lightning, wind, snow, and certain temperatures can temporarily cause attractions to close. Hersheypark® remains open during inclement weather conditions and offers a variety of indoor activities including entertainment shows, dining options, shopping, game arcades, exhibits at ZooAmerica®, as well as rides under cover while you wait for the weather to clear. Hersheypark makes every effort to reopen the rides and attractions as quickly and safely as possible after the inclement weather conditions cease. In the event the inclement weather conditions cause the majority of major rides and attractions to close for a continuous 60 minutes on a public operating day, a Return Visit Voucher may be issued for a return visit for the current operating season. Please present your ticket stub or receipt of purchase to any Guest Services location to receive your Return Visit Voucher (note, not valid for private events). Select rides are weather-dependent and may only open when the temperature reaches a certain degree threshold and rises consistently per manufacturer guidelines. Similarly, select rides may close for guest safety during operating hours if the temperature drops below a certain degree threshold. Please see the list of available rides and sort by season. The following rides MAY NOT OPEN unless the temperature is 34 degrees and rising consistently. They may CLOSE when the temperature approaches 34 degrees or lower: Candymonium; Ferris Wheel; Jolly Rancher Remix™; Kissing Tower; Mix'd™ Flavored By Jolly Rancher; Monorail; Wild Mouseâ„ ; and Wildcat's Revengeâ„ . The following rides MAY NOT OPEN unless the temperature is 41 degrees and rising consistently. They may CLOSE when the temperature approaches 41 degrees or lower: Fahrenheit; Great Bear; Hershey Triple Tower; Lightning Racer; Skyrush; and Storm Runner. The following rides MAY NOT OPEN unless the temperature is 65 degrees and rising consistently. They may CLOSE when the temperature approaches 65 degrees or lower: Bayside Pier; Breakers Edge Water Coaster; Coal Cracker; Coastline Plunge; East Coast Waterworks; Intercoastal Waterway; Sandcastle Cove; Shoreline Sprayground; The Shore; Tidal Force; and Whitecap Racer. It may not be possible to identify which rides will be closed at specific times due to varying degrees of effects from inclement weather. All rides, including Boardwalk attractions, may be closed during the threat of lightning and severe weather and will reopen as the conditions improve. Safety rechecks of rides and attractions may be necessary prior to re-opening after the storm.

All volunteers must be at least 18 years of age, and must represent an approved non-profit organization. Service groups, church groups, community organizations, schools, and social clubs may be able to qualify. There is no minimum or maximum number of participants for each organization. However, large groups may be divided up and scheduled at different times depending on availability.

The most important thing is to be friendly, courteous, and have a positive attitude. You will find that our positions require very basic duties. In fact, specific training is offered at the beginning of your shift. You will work side-by-side or within close proximity to Entertainment Complex employees who will assist you with questions or problems that may arise during your work experience.
Groups will receive a shift fee (see agreement) per volunteer in the form of a check issued by Hershey Entertainment & Resorts. Payments are processed once a month and sent to the nonprofit organization. In addition each volunteer will receive a predetermined number of tickets. Each ticket is good for either: One (1) regular, one-day admission to Hersheypark One (1) regular, one-day admission to ZooAmerica One parking admission One vehicle entry (up to eight passengers) into Hershey Sweet Lights Ticket(s) will be sent electronically to each volunteer after the completion of a volunteer shift.
The Hershey Entertainment Complex uses volunteer groups to assist with special staffing needs at various times throughout the year in the following departments. Attractions: This role requires direct contact with Hersheypark guests, including small children. Work is performed almost exclusively outdoors. Expected to maintain a high degree of professionalism and guest service while maintaining vigilance at all times. Duties include but are not limited to enforcing attraction heights and other rider requirements and performing required attraction safety checks. Safety Certification training is required Entertainment (Seasonal - Hersheypark Halloween): Assisting the Treatville team in distributing candy to guests. Food & Beverage: Assisting the Food and Beverage staff with prep work, basic cooking, and serving guests including managing cashless transactions. Maintaining and assisting with general cleanliness while following proper food handling procedures. Assisting with the service of alcoholic beverages; RAMP Certification training is required. Yearly Food and Beverage training is required. Games: Working at games of skill and in arcade locations while following game-specific directions and proper operating procedures. Working independently and regularly interact with guests. Implementing the Intercard cashless gaming system that is used to accept cashless payments for gameplay and arcade prize redemption. Guest Experience (Hersheypark and ZooAmerica Admissions): Greeting and welcoming guests to Hersheypark/ZooAmerica. Scanning various ticket types and season passes to ensure validity. Overseeing exit operations and ensuring guests have proper re-entry credentials when wishing to return to Hersheypark/ZooAmerica on the same day. Work at outdoor locations at Hersheypark/ZooAmerica and standing for the majority of their shift. Paid Parking (Toll Taker): Assisting in collection of parking fees and identifying parking passes as guests enter the Hersheypark Entertainment Complex. Managing currency and processing cash and credit card transactions using a point-of-sale system. Parking Lot Attendant: Assisting with directing guests to parking locations. Standing and using repeated hand and arm movements around moving vehicles. Retail: Assisting at Hersheypark Supply Co. or other retail locations as needed. Processing transactions efficiently using a cashless point-of-sale system. Sizing and stocking products; interacting with guests and providing them with general information Trams: Assisting guests at tram stops with loading and unloading (including wheelchairs and strollers). (If trained): Safely operating the tram shuttle transporting guests to their destination & effectively communicating information about Hersheypark Entertainment Complex via PA system. Controlling traffic as needed in and around tram areas Ushers: Verifying and scanning event tickets and guiding guests to their ticketed seats; scanning tickets and control access to premium location(s) and overseeing a section of the venue during an event. Assisting with guest surveys and distributing promotional material. Volunteers working as Ushers at Giant Center may be asked to operate an elevator and maintain access control at various locations to ensure only those guests with proper tickets/credentials enter and exit. Utility: Pick up trash in the Hersheypark midways and landscapes, and adjacent parking areas. Maintaining restrooms, including restocking paper products, emptying trash cans, wiping counters, and using a pan and broom to sweep the facility. Lifing up to 30-40 lbs. Controlling a high pressure fire hose to clean the walkways (required for Hose Crew). **Standard Working Conditions for all Departments: Organization Volunteers must be able to stand for entire Volunteer Shift and Organization Volunteers must be able to bend, stoop, and walk. Must be able to volunteer in a variety of weather conditions; including, heat, cold, and inclement weather.
Everything our guests see contributes to his/her impression of our facility; therefore, we ask that all volunteers present a neat and clean image. Although volunteers are not required to wear a uniform, we require that our volunteer groups still maintain a consistent look. Please read below for Hershey Entertainment & Resorts volunteer group appearance guidelines. Pants: Khaki, tan, navy or black depending on department, shorts, or Bermudas are acceptable. Rips, tears, or cargo pockets are not permitted. No jeans or capri pants. Shirts: Park issued or solid white-colored polo shirt and a Temporary Identification pass (Temp ID) that is provided to each volunteer at the beginning of their shift. Aprons and hair nets will be provided for Food & Beverage volunteers. Shoes: Comfortable footwear with covered toes and heels are required. High heels, clogs, and open-toed footwear (including sandals and flip flops) are not permitted. If a volunteer wears anything that does not comply with our volunteer appearance policy, they will be asked to leave.
Volunteers may not receive a break during a shift depending on the duration of the shift.
NO, they will not be admitted to the Park or an event without purchasing a ticket. If a child purchases a ticket and enters the Park or an event, they are not allowed to be in designated work areas.
We may be forced to operate on a limited basis; however, don't assume that your group will not be needed. If your services are not required due to inclement weather, or any other operational reason, Hershey Entertainment Complex management will contact your group leader as early as possible. For this reason, we suggest you develop a “quick call” system within your group. If your services are required and your group cancels or fails to report, you will receive no payment and will be removed from our list of program participants. In any event, please call the department in which you are scheduled to work if you have any questions.
