Hershey History Day

Hersheypark is best known for its amusement rides and thrilling coasters, but that wasn’t always the case. Did you know it actually started off as just a regular park for employees of the Hershey Chocolate Factory to enjoy on their days off?..

As a matter of fact, dating back over 115 years ago, The Hershey Company, Hershey Entertainment & Resorts, and Milton Hershey School were mostly a vision and a dream of our founder, Milton S. Hershey. Through his determination and commitment to the community, he turned an idea into a brand that is enjoyed by consumers worldwide.

Visit Hersheypark to dive into our rich history and learn how a little town in central Pennsylvania was put on the world’s stage. With our QR code scavenger hunt, and a little imagination, you will explore Hershey through the years to gain a better understanding of the key moments that have shaped who we are today.
