Twizzlers Twisted Gravity Named Top New Theme Park Attraction

The votes are in! Twizzlers Twisted Gravity at Hersheypark amusement park has been named one of the top 10 best new theme park attractions in the USA TODAY 10BEST Readers' Choice Awards. 

The high-thrill pendulum ride was voted the no. 9 attraction added to a U.S. theme park over the last year and a half. Twenty nominees were chosen by a panel of relevant experts, which includes a combination of editors from USA TODAY, editors from 10Best.com, relevant expert contributors, and sources for both these media and other Gannett properties. The contest gave voters four weeks to cast their votes for the attraction of their choice. 

Twizzlers Twisted Gravity opened to the public on May 24, 2025, as the World's Tallest Screamin' Swing. 

Manufactured by S&S Worldwide, Twizzlers Twisted Gravity features the newest candy to join the iconic skyline at the largest amusement park in Pennsylvania. 

The one-minute and 10-second experience on Twizzlers Twisted Gravity begins as riders of Hershey’s height category (48-54”) and above sit in one of four branded zones across two gondolas, featuring the Twizzlers Strawberry, Cherry, Hershey’s Chocolate and Black Licorice-flavored designs.

Riders ascend 137 adrenaline-pumping feet, defy gravity at speeds reaching 68 miles per hour and experience multiple mind-bending zero G moments as they swing high above Spring Creek in The Hollow region of Hersheypark. 

Twizzlers Twisted Gravity joined more than 70 rides as Hersheypark continues to add more experiences after a decade of growth - with six coasters and the historic investment in Hershey’s Chocolatetown. 

Following its summer opening, Twizzlers Twisted Gravity was open for Hersheypark Halloween and Dark Nights presented by Reese’s and Kit Kat® immersive haunt experience. The record-breaking attraction also made its holiday debut during Hersheypark Christmas Candylane, weather permitting, with a festive new light package.
