The Chocolatier Celebrates 5 Years of Operation in 2026
Full-Service Restaurant, Bar + Patio at Hersheypark Offers "Fun to Table" Dining
Date: May 29, 2026
The Chocolatier Restaurant, Bar + Patio celebrates its 5th anniversary in 2026. Since opening its doors to the public on May 29, 2021, this year-round, full-service restaurant in Hershey’s Chocolatetown has become a staple for guests seeking family fare with a fun spin and hints of chocolate. As the largest restaurant in Hershey, The Chocolatier offers a "Fun-to-Table" experience that is accessible to both Hersheypark guests and the general public, as a Park ticket is not required to dine.
While the menu has evolved over the years, the mission to celebrate the life and legacy of our founder, Milton S. Hershey, remains unchanged. Read on to learn more about the sweet legacy, iconic menu and immersive atmosphere that continue to define The Chocolatier experience of bringing people together for happiness, fun and, of course, chocolate.
Only-in-Hershey Design
The decor featured within The Chocolatier is truly a concept that can only exist in Hershey. Throughout the main restaurant and the outdoor patio, guests are immersed in an atmosphere unlike any other, showcasing both past and present pieces from the iconic Hersheypark ride collection.
One of the most unique aspects of the dining experience is the ability to enjoy a meal from booths inspired by the Tilt-A-Whirl and Comet, the longest continuously operating coaster at Hersheypark. The Comet booths even have seat belts! To enhance the room's energy, fiber-optic lights outlining the distinct silhouettes of the Candymonium, Fahrenheit and Wildcat (1996-2022) roller coasters are suspended from the ceiling above the tables.
Of course, one of the most breathtaking Hersheypark tributes is the Carrousel Bar, which serves as the centerpiece of The Chocolatier. It includes two replica horses from the historic, 107-year-old Carrousel at its center.
The immersive environment extends to the patio, where diners can take in refurbished bumper cars, an antique car, a tub from the former Giant Wheel and even a “C” from the logo of the past favorite ride, the Flying Falcon - turning a standard meal into a curated museum experience of amusement park history.
Fun-To-Table Family Fare
The Chocolatier menu features family fare with a fun spin and hints of chocolate. Items that contain hints of chocolate are denoted by a “C” on the menu.
Guests will find a wide selection of shareables, including Hershey’s Chocolate BBQ Wings and the iconic Ferris Wheel Sampler, signature handhelds like the Chocolatetown Burger, and over-the-top desserts, including decadently topped milkshakes. Guests 21 and older can sip on signature cocktails like the fan-favorite Reese’s Cupfusion Old Fashioned and the fun-to-glass Cotton Candy Martini - both Chocolatier exclusives!
To commemorate the restaurant's 5-year milestone and the nation’s semiquincentennial this summer, The Chocolatier features patriotic options, such as an Apple Pie Milkshake and the Sweetest 250 Flight, which is a red, white, and blue martini flight.
A Sweet Legacy Honored
At its core, The Chocolatier is a space that pays tribute to our founder, Milton S. Hershey, both through its menu and decorative touches.
Inside the restaurant, guests can discover an overview mural that details Mr. Hershey’s community contributions, serving as a visual history of the town’s sweet heritage. Nostalgic nods to the surrounding community are also present throughout the restaurant. For example, guests can sit in original seats from the historic Hersheypark Arena in the waiting area and view early archival photos of Hersheypark Stadium, displayed on the wall overlooking the actual venue. Both structures were landmark pieces of Mr. Hershey’s Great Building Campaign during the 1930s, designed to provide meaningful employment and community infrastructure during the Great Depression.
The restaurant also features various tributes to Milton Hershey School (MHS), created by Milton and Catherine Hershey to provide a cost-free education for children in need. This connection is woven into the very fabric of the dining experience; many dishes over the restaurant's history have been developed in direct partnership with MHS culinary students. Other signature elements, such as the Founder’s Table and the decorative ride vehicles found on the patio, were also constructed and refurbished with help from the students. Learn more about the school at mhskids.org.
A Meal With a View
Guests are guaranteed to enjoy a meal with a view at The Chocolatier. The architectural design of the space also ensures that every seat offers a unique perspective of the surrounding area.
One side of the restaurant features expansive windows and an inviting outdoor patio that overlooks the historic Carrousel and the soaring heights of Candymonium in Hershey’s Chocolatetown. The other side of the restaurant offers an equally impressive vantage point, with windows that overlook Hersheypark Stadium, a 30,000-seat outdoor concert venue that has hosted countless historic performances. This dual-sided view allows guests to immerse themselves in the energy of the Hersheypark Entertainment Complex while enjoying their dining experience.
The restaurant is strategically located on the second floor above Hersheypark Supply Co., with an open view of the largest retail store at Hersheypark. Furthermore, an open-kitchen concept allows diners to watch the culinary team in action as they bring the restaurant's unique chocolate-infused menu to life.
We hope to welcome you to The Chocolatier during its 5th anniversary for iconic eats in an even more iconic setting! The Chocolatier is open daily for lunch and dinner. Reservations are strongly encouraged but not accepted for the Carrousel Bar, as seating is available there on a first-come, first-served basis.
