RIDE HEIGHT AND WEIGHT REQUIREMENTS:
When designing and building a ride, the manufacturers strive to
design the ride so that the most amount of people (approx. 90%
of the population) will be able to fit inside the ride vehicle
(including height and weight requirements), and make certain the
safety restraints operate correctly. Unfortunately the 90% does
not quite cover all the population.
There are fourteen rides that may be affected by these
requirements:
- Fahrenheit (roller coasters)
- The Trailblazer (roller coasters)
- Comet (roller coasters)
- SOOPERDOOPERLOOPER (roller coasters)
- Wildcat (roller coasters)
- LIGHTNING RACER (roller coasters)
- STORM RUNNER (roller coasters)
- GREAT BEAR (will allow a guest with a chest measurement of
54 inches to ride) (roller coasters)
- The Skyview (ski lift ride)
- THE CLAW (flat spin ride)
- REESE'S XTREME CUP CHALLENGE (dark ride)
- East Coast Waterworks (water slide)
- Coastline Plunge (water slide)
- Waverider (surf ride)
At the entrances to these rides you will find signage that will
indicate the following:
THIS RIDE MAY NOT ACCOMMODATE GUESTS OF A LARGER SIZE
(HEIGHT AND/OR WEIGHT)
DUE TO THE CONFIGURATION OF THE SAFETY SYSTEM
This signage will allow you to make a decision prior to waiting
in line.
