Attention all Dance Instructors, Band and Choral Directors! Your troupe has worked hard, practiced, and rehearsed every step, every note to perfection. And now your ensemble is ready to take their show on the road. But, where do you find the perfect venue? You want to showcase your group's talents but it needs to be fun too! Home to annual award-winning shows and Broadway caliber performances - HERSHEYPARK entertains over 2.5 million guests a season. We invite you to step into our spotlight ... and let your group shine. From drill teams to dance troupes to musical ensembles, HERSHEYPARK Talent Quest is a program for everyone!
Talent Quest groups are featured on the stage in the Midway Tent located in the Midway America section of the Park. This 11,000 square foot air-conditioned venue provides a cool oasis for our guests to enjoy your dazzling performance.
Talent Quest isn't just for performers, but their families too. With the opportunity to purchase discounted tickets, a fun-filled day at the Park can be enjoyed by all! We even sweeten the deal by adding 2 complimentary passes for every 20 tickets purchased!

HERSHEYPARK Talent Quest Staff
AUDITION INFORMATION:
- Group leaders should submit a completed on-line application (see below).
- All Talent Quest participants must submit an audition DVD or Video to HERSHEYPARK. Audition pieces must be reviewed and APPROVED by HERSHEYPARK at least three (3) weeks prior to the Performance Date. The audition piece should reflect numbers of performers expected to perform at HERSHEYPARK, costumes similar to what will be worn, and the quality and content of the production that you have planned for HERSHEYPARK. Please label all audition materials with group name, contact name, and phone number. Due to the number of entries, these items will not be returned.
- All groups are expected to wear costumes or uniforms, and maintain a professional appearance.
- All musical selections and costumes should be in good taste, keeping in mind the family-oriented atmosphere of HERSHEYPARK. If you are unsure of content or costumes feel free to ask.
- All performances must remain within the allotted 30-minute time span.
PERFORMANCE LOCATION:
Your performers will take the stage in the Midway Tent, a performance venue that boasts 11,000 air-conditioned square feet! Home to Talent Quest for its 9th consecutive season, the Midway Tent is certain to put the spotlight on your stars as they delight park-goers young and old.
TECHNICAL INFORMATION:
- Stage Dimensions are 20 x 40.
- Our house Sound System has CD and Cassette playback. Although we are able to accommodate cassette, we recommend pre-recording all audio needs on to one CD for greatest performance quality.
- We are able to provide four (wired) microphones as well as
four microphone stands.
- Dressing areas will be available 30 minutes prior to your performance.
- Chairs are available for ensembles that require seating.
- Unfortunately, we are not able to provide music stands or store equipment prior to or after your performance time.
MARCHING BANDS:
- Please check the operating schedule on the inside cover of
the Group Planner or click HERE to
confirm Park dates and hours of operation for the day you would
like your group to perform.
- Marching bands are not required to wear full marching band
attire, however, a uniform is required (for example collared
shirts & khaki shorts).
- For the safety of your group members, as well as other Park guests, we ask that rifles, batons, flags, etc. not be used for any kind of Marching Band performance. We do invite these performers to participant in other ways that will support or contribute to their group's performance.
- Please be aware that HERSHEYPARK has many obstacles such as benches, trees, and narrow walkways. Please keep this in mind when choosing a formation.
- Changing areas may be available upon request, however, instrument storage of any kind is not available.

To request a performance date please complete the online Talent Quest Application below. To receive the best pricing, place your order by April 28, 2008 and receive up to 40% off the regular rate! After April 28, package pricing is still available at a significant discount. Plan to purchase your tickets a minimum of 3 weeks prior to your performance. Tickets will be mailed via UPS. So get your "act" together and we'll see you on the BIG stage!
If chosen to participate in Talent Quest, our Talent Quest Staff
will contact you to confirm your performance details, including
admission packages. Our Events Manager will confirm day-of details
within 2 weeks of your performance. You will also receive a confirmation
packet at least 2 weeks prior to your performance date.
As a participant in Talent Quest your performing group and their
family members qualify for discount rates at HERSHEYPARK. Please
call
1-800-242-4236 for ticket information. Everyone entering HERSHEYPARK
must have a ticket, including performers.

RULES AND REGULATIONS
All performances must adhere to the
following parameters:
- Talent Quest participation is limited to groups of 20 or more.
- Everyone entering HERSHEYPARK must have a ticket, including performers.
- Footwear of some kind must be worn at all times, on and off stage, even if a group member is not performing.
- No dancing or practicing on stage prior to performance.
- Group members must stay in dressing area when wearing costumes.
- Each group should keep only a limited number of chaperones backstage.
- Because the Tent is an indoor venue, Talent Quest is a rain or shine program.
- All Talent Quest participants or their parents/legal guardians must sign and return a Grant of Permission, Grant of Use and Release Agreement as a condition to performing inside HERSHEYPARK. The form will be provided in the confirmation packet.
- Due to the popularity of this program and limited time slots that are available, set-up/load in time is limited to 30 minutes, and break down/load out time is limited to 15 minutes.
